friday / saturday

found some really old stuff that I did about 10 years ago?!? This was the first time I filmed and edited a snowboard video. it's been ages since I've seen it last time. so jokes. but still reminds me of the good old days... the super 8 stuff still looks so good. I'd love to shoot something on super 8 again.

enjoy! :)

thursday pt.2

As promised, here's a portrait from todays test shoot.
I think I'm making good progress with lighting again. I took lots of time today to get everything spot on and I'm really happy with how this came out.
This is Ben Roberts.

thursday

Got a photo published for a record cover for Impulsive Habitat.

wednesday

One more portrait from monday. Lighting is getting close to what I'd like it to be, so I think it's looking good so far. I've got the studio booked for tomorrow again, so I'll upload some new portraits hopefully again tomorrow...
I've been looking for a new lens for my Graflex on ebay. It's a Rodenstock Geronar 210mm f/6.8, so if all goes well I should have it next week. Can't wait to get it, it's going to make my life sooooo much easier.
Oh yeah. Mitch is a fantastic still life photographer, so check out his website.

sunday

Can't sleep, so I thought I'd do a quick post.
Hungarian portrait photographer Peter Hapak photographed for time magazine the 33 Chilean miners that were trapped deep underground for over 2 months.
More amazing work on his website.

Saturday pt.2

Nikke, frontside boardslide from summer 2010. I thought I'd try something a bit different and I think the diptych works quite well...

Thursday

Was in the university studio today after a massive break shooting portraits again with my 4x5 Graflex. The last time I was shooting in the studio was about a year ago, so I wanted to play around with lighting and get used to the whole studio environment again.
I have to say that the graflex is so easy and quick to use, I love it. I just wish I had a longer lens for it, the 135mm lens works fine, but could use something like 180mm for portraits. oh well...
This is Roman by the way.

detail with the 5x4 is pretty insane.... I need to get some paper and do few big prints soon.
